NFL Rookies paid too much
I just can't wait til the new nfl CBA is reached. It is so hard for a team to judge a rookie while they are playing in college. There are just way many factors which will come into effect in the NFL to determine if the rookie will be good or a bust. So why are teams having to shell out crazy money for some one who most likely be a bust. Case and point JaMarcus Russell who signed a $68 million deal with $31.5 million guaranteed, and look what they have to show for it...Nothing. In the next coming days Bradford is expected to sign a deal worth around $75-$80 million. Is he really worth that much money when he has not proven anything in the NFL? How is his throwing sholder? When the new CPA goes into effect there will be a cap on the salary for draft picks which will only help to protect the team and make more room for free agents who are proven players. It will only make the league better for both the fans and the players.
